Consumer Lending Advisor – Remote

Position Summary:

Responsible for providing exceptional service, financial advice, and banking solutions that will increase member relationships with Labor CU. Generates loan business with new and existing members by evaluating members’ financial needs, providing one-on-one member consultation, and exploring opportunities to cross-sell the best suitable products and services.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Promotes a need-based sales and service culture by demonstrating Labor CU’s mission, vision, and values, and provides a stellar member experience.
Interviews borrowers to confirm loan amounts, purpose, and possible collateral to determine the viability of a loan request. Provides guidance and relevant information relating to the features and benefits of each product.
Process loan applications, self-initiated or assigned through the Loan Origination System (LOS); analyzes the information and supporting documents gathered based on credit union policy and prepares and submits loan file for underwriting.
Contacts members to inform them of loan application decision, next steps and to prepare and deliver loan documents for signature as well as adverse action letters; executes closing of loans and disbursement of all approved applications.
Implements outreach efforts regarding consumer loan products to develop new business and increase/expand product penetration. In Addition, cross-sells ancillary products including, but not limited to Credit Life/Disability, GAP, MRC; In addition, contacts all leads assigned, and updates the leads tracking promptly.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Director of Lending
Position Requirements:

A High School Diploma or Equivalent, College is preferred.
Must have a minimum of two years experience in Customer or Member Service and meeting goals and deadlines. Prior sales experience is preferred.
Must possess effective written and verbal presentation skills.
Excellent organization and time management skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities requiring attention to detail.
Interpersonal Skills

Work normally involves contacts with persons beyond immediate associates generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact in providing assistance and information.
Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by the date of hire to be considered for employment. Proof of vaccination is required.
Required Compliance Courses

Responsible for understanding and complying in an accurate and timely basis with all Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering/OFAC requirements that pertain to the position at LABOR CU and as directed by management.
Must be adept in operating standard office equipment, specifically the computer, and must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Work Environment: This position is a remote position. Occasional travel to “onsite” premises may be required.

Salary: $40,000 Annually + Commission (monthly)
